With SMART features, the NX1000, NX210 and NX20 can connect to wireless networks without any additional cards or devices, making it seamless to share and store photos directly from the camera.

All three new Samsung NX cameras offer exceptional image quality and are designed for users with different photographic skill levels. With a premium metallic finish, the NX20 and NX210 compact system cameras are available now from authorized Samsung retailers for manufactured suggested retail prices (MSRP) of $1,099.99 and $899.99, respectively. The sleek and compact NX1000 will be available in June in white, black and pink at an MSRP of $699.99.

Channeling Samsung’s premium NX image quality, the NX1000, NX210 and NX20 cameras all feature a stunning design and a professional-grade 20.3 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor. Ensuring the cameras benefit from Samsung’s ecosystem of imaging products, they are also compatible with Samsung’s unique i-Function 2.0 system. This innovative system enables users to control camera settings using the lens only, without having to take focus off the subject. New i-Function features include a digital crop and zoom, which allows users to focus on the most important parts of an image and crop away distracting background elements, plus the ability to add custom functions.

Coupled with the latest SMART features, the integration of Wi-Fi in the new NX models enables users to instantly upload images and video to social networking sites like Facebook, Picasa, Photobucket and YouTube, to the cloud with Microsoft® Sky Drive®, or even email them directly from the camera at the touch of a button.

Further extending the benefits of Samsung’s SMART features, the NX20, NX210 and NX1000 are compatible with Samsung’s Remote Viewfinder app, which when loaded from Google Play (formerly the Android Marketplace) onto a supported GALAXY smartphone or tablet, allows users to control settings and even take the picture from up to 30 feet away. Addressing the discontent of NX200 users who would want to expand the control of shutter release beyond finger press or reliance on self timer, this adapter is designed to do just that.

Precision machined from black Delrin, the adapter uses hot shoe as a stable anchor for perfectly positioned cable release point over the shutter button. Profile of the adapter does not interfere with on/off lever or any other vital camera controls.

Focus acquisition by half press shutter via cable release is very well controlled.

The WB850F, WB150F, and ST200F cameras enhance the advanced optical zoom and image quality that the WB line of cameras are known for, with Wi-Fi capability to facilitate sharing and saving images – wherever users are in the world. Housed in compact, light and durable bodies, the new zoom series from Samsung make the perfect travel companions.

Samsung’s innovative new SMART Wi-Fi technology aims to change the way consumers take pictures, share and store them. With the new Samsung SMART long-zoom cameras, users no longer have to worry about unearthing a tangle of cables to transfer their images over to their hard drive by using the Auto Backup function. Five Companies plan to jointly form ‘Next Generation Secure Memory Initiative

December 19^th, 2011—Panasonic Corporation, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., SanDisk Corporation, Sony Corporation and Toshiba Corporation today announced that they have reached an agreement in principle to collaborate on a new content protection technology for flash memory cards such as SD Cards and various storage devices. Under the ”Next Generation Secure Memory Initiative,”^*1 the five companies will start preparing for licensing and promotion of HD (high-definition)-capable security for SD Cards and embedded memory for use in advanced consumer applications such as tablets and smartphones.

This content protection solution will be robust enough to protect HD content. A high level of content security will be realized through the use of the initiative’s technologies, including unique ID (identification) technology for flash memory and robust copy protection based on public key infrastructure.

The five companies believe this technology will enable various HD content applications such as HD network download, broadcast content to go and HD Digital Copy/Managed Copy from Blu-ray Disc^TM*2 media. With these applications, users can enjoy HD content on a wide range of devices, including Android^TM*3-based smartphones and tablets, TVs and Blu-ray^TM*4 products.

The five companies believe that they each can make substantial contributions that, when combined, will enable them to start licensing the new secure memory technology early next year. The five companies expect to see adoption of flash memory products and various embedded flash memory solutions using this technology in the market in 2012.
